Rescue

The ERAF mission of horse rescue is dedicated to those horses that are abused, abandoned and neglected - not just the unwanted. We focus especially on horses requiring help in our immediate area of South Florida.

Rehabilitation

A unique aspect of ERAF's rescue efforts is our dedication to Rehabilitation. Proper nutrition and care is where we start. We have a wonderful group of professional vets, farriers, body workers and nutritionists who help support these efforts. Once a horse is through quarantine and has had time to restore weight and regain health, ERAF continues with the focused re-training of every horse. The purpose of our Rehabilitation program is to help each horse permanently escape the "loop of rescue" that plagues rescued horses.

Adoption

ERAF's mission is to find a a forever home for every horse that comes through our barn. The entire adoption process can take up to a month because we require an application, home inspection and take the time to make sure each person is fully aware of the horse's current level of training and future needs.
